Admission and orientation tests

General information

In order to enroll in the academic bachelor programmes of Visual Arts, Audiovisual Arts, Drama or Music you must pass an artistic entrance test. The first step is that you pre-register on webreg.hogent.be. In the information brochures you can find all the specifics on the entrance tests.

For admission to the master, bridging and advanced programmes you must take an orientation test. Read the application guidelines carefully and register on webreg.hogent.be.

There is no artistic entrance test for the vocational programmes of Interior Design, Landscape and Garden Architecture and Landscape Development. Candidates for these programmes can enroll directly on webreg.hogent.be.

FOR WHO?

Do you want to apply for an artistic entrance test to follow an academic bachelor programme?
First you have to register online: webreg.hogent.be.
You can only participate in the test after paying the €10 administrative fee.

On these pages you can find the specific details on the artistic entrance tests for all our academic bachelor programmes.
The information is only available in Dutch. Our bachelor programmes do not have an English variant.

Drama
  • Session 1, phase 1
    By 13.02 at the latest, every candidate who registered on time will be allocated one of the following dates and times by e-mail (you cannot choose):
    February 23, 2022 / 10:30 or 16:30
    March 2, 2022 / 10:30 or 16:30
    March 9, 2022 / 10:30 or 16:30
    March 12, 2022 / 09:30 or 13:00
  • Session 2, phase 1
    You can only register for session 2 after session 1 is finished. On 1 June at the latest, each candidate who registered on time will be assigned one of the following dates and times (you cannot choose):
    June 22, 2022 / 10:30 or 16:30
    June 25, 2022 / 09:30, 13:00 or 15:30
    July 01, 2022 / 09:30, 13:00 or 15:30
  • Session 1 and session 2, phase 2, 04.07 – 06.07.22

Orientation tests master and advanced master
General info

In order to enter a master, advanced master or postgraduate programme, you have to be selected for an orientation interview or audition. We host two or three (depending on the graduating option you choose) selection rounds in either April, June/July or August/September. You can find all the details in the application guidelines of the various programmes.

The dates for the selection rounds are published on this site in December.

In order to apply, you have to go through following procedure:

  1. Pre-register online on webreg.hogent.be
  2. Complete the online application form and add required documents
  3. Verification of your application file + Invitation to audition/interview
  4. The Orientation Committee interview or audition
  5. Announcement of the Interview/Audition results
  6. You passed the interview/audition
  7. Submission of your authenticated documents to the School of Arts. If these are considered authentic, you’ll receive a formal invitation letter to enrol.

    Educational master

    If you want to follow the initial trajectory, you’ll receive an invitation for an orientation test for your programme of choice.

    Orientation tests postgraduates
    Procedure

    Do you want to apply for one of our postgraduate programmes?

    Before you can start a postgraduate degree, you must take an orientation test. You can find the details in the application guidelines for each programme.

    There is no orientation test for the advanced bachelor of landscape development or for the educational master.
    You can enrol directly on webreg.hogent.be

    The application takes a few steps:

    1. Read the application guidelines
    2. Pre-register online on webreg.hogent.be
    3. Complete the online application form and add required documents
    4. Verification of your application file + Invitation to audition/interview
    5. The Orientation Committee interview or audition
    6. Announcement of the Interview/Audition results
    7. You passed the interview/audition
    8. Submission of your documents.
    If these are verified, you’ll receive a letter. You can start to study at KASK & Conservatory.

    We’ll announce the exact dates for 2023 in December.
